Make a Difference as a Billing Specialist

As a Billing Specialist at Family HealthCare, your day-to-day responsibilities will revolve around ensuring accurate billing and coding for our healthcare services. You will process patient accounts, verify insurance information, and resolve any discrepancies to maintain smooth operations. Attention to detail is key, as you will prepare and submit claims to insurance companies and follow up on outstanding balances.

Duties / Responsibilities

  • Safeguard accuracy of tickets prior to processing
  • Facilitate successful completion of the claims revenue cycle
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Responsive and effective communication
  • Skilled in identifying tickets that are require changes to charges and coding or patient demographics

Education and Experience

  • Experience in Medical Insurance Billing, minimum of 6 months, preferred
  • Knowledge of Billing Rules and guidelines set by Medicare and DHS
  • Familiarity with Epic and Microsoft Office Suite, preferred
