Restaurant Depot. a national wholesale restaurant supplier is seeking an experienced candidate for the position of Assistant Branch Manager for our Salt Lake City location.
Preferred candidate should have minimum of 3-5 years experience in a similar level capacity in a high volume retail or big box environment.
Must be a multi-tasking individual with excellent communication skills with knowledge in the areas of inventory control, P & L, budgeting, merchandising, employee development, recruitment, and human resource-related issues.
Must be a self-starter and able to manage a large staff (60+). Food service knowledge a big plus. Customer Service skills are essential in this position as you will be interacting with business customers throughout the day.
We are a wholesale operation and not open to the public. Salary commensurate with experience, plus benefits, 401k plan, and bonus plan.

RESPONSIBILITIES :
1. Operations Management :
- Supervise daily activities of the picking and loading management within a cold storage facility.
- Monitor and ensure accurate execution of processes to meet operational goals, considering the challenges of cold storage.
2. Team Leadership :
- Lead, motivate, and mentor supervisors, and warehouse staff, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Provide guidance and coaching to address performance issues and ensure professional growth.
3. Performance Analysis :
- Analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure and evaluate the distribution center's productivity and efficiency in a cold storage context.
- Identify trends, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement, and develop action plans accordingly.
4. Inventory Management :
Collaborate with the Logistics team to manage inventory levels, monitor stock movement, and reduce carrying costs, taking into account the challenges of cold storage.
5. Compliance and Safety :
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines, especially within the unique cold storage environment.
- Promote a safe working environment by enforcing proper safety protocols and conducting regular safety training.
6. Process Improvement :
- Continuously seek opportunities to enhance operational efficiency, accuracy, and customer service within a cold storage context.
- Implement best practices, technology solutions, and automation to drive process improvements.
Since its founding in 1996, Restaurant Depot has been serving independent foodservice operators, consisting primarily of caterers, pizzerias, restaurants, and delicatessens.
Our history actually goes back further to 1976, when Jetro Cash & Carry, the name under which the company was founded, opened its first warehouse in Brooklyn, NY.
