We are looking for an experienced Payroll Specialist to join our team on a contract basis in Kenmore, Washington. In this role, you will oversee payroll operations and benefits administration while ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and policies. This position requires a detail-oriented individual with expertise in payroll systems and a strong commitment to service excellence.

Responsibilities :

  • Process bi-weekly payroll accurately and efficiently using ADP Workforce Now.
  • Verify employee hours, pay rates, deductions, and paid time off balances to ensure payroll accuracy.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws as well as company-specific policies.
  • Handle payroll updates such as new hires, terminations, and pay adjustments.
  • Generate and review payroll reports for accuracy and perform necessary reconciliations.
  • Maintain secure and organized payroll documentation to uphold confidentiality.
  • Administer employee benefits programs, including health, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, and 401(k).
  • Manage benefit enrollments, terminations, and changes while coordinating with carriers and brokers.
  • Reconcile monthly benefits invoices and assist with timely payment processing.
  • Support open enrollment activities and communicate benefit updates to employees.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in payroll and benefits administration.
  • Proficiency with full-cycle and multi-state payroll processes.
  • Advanced knowledge of ADP Workforce Now and its functionalities.
  • Strong understanding of federal, state, and local payroll regulations.
  • Proven ability to manage employee benefits programs effectively.
  • High level of skill in Excel and other Office Suite applications.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Experience in aviation or safety-sensitive industries is preferred.
