House Manager/Housekeeper

House Manager Job Description :

Are you an organized and proactive individual with a passion for maintaining a home? We're seeking a House Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our household.

From cleaning and organizing to pet care and grocery shopping, this role requires someone who is meticulous, resourceful, and attentive to detail.

House Manager Salary and Benefits :

• 3 month training period at $20 / hr. Rate goes to $22 / hr after 3 months.
• Health insurance and retirement benefits package, including 401k, life insurance, and disability

• Approximately 30 hours / week
• Work week is Monday-Friday, though times are flexible within that time frame
• No nights or weekends
• All work is in person- no remote!

House Manager Responsibilities :

Cleaning and Maintenance : Ensure the cleanliness and tidiness of all living spaces, including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and disinfecting surfaces.

Coordinate with external service providers for deep cleaning tasks as needed. Includes keeping our pool area tidy and swept.

• Organization : Implement efficient organizational systems to optimize space and streamline daily routines. Maintain inventories of household supplies and replenish items as necessary.
• Pet Care : Provide attentive care for household pets, including feeding, walking 65lb dog, light grooming, and scheduling veterinary appointments.

Ensure their comfort and well-being at all times. We have 3 cats, so this position includes cleaning of litter boxes.

• Out of Town House and Pet Care : If schedules aline, stay at the house while we are out of town to take care of the house and pets.
• Grocery Shopping : Conduct grocery shopping trips to purchase fresh ingredients and household necessities, while adhering to budgetary guidelines.
• Laundry and Wardrobe Management : Oversee laundry operations, including washing, folding, and ironing clothes and linens.

Manage wardrobe organization and assist with seasonal clothing rotations.

House Manager Requirements :

• Previous experience in a similar role required.
• Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of basic pet care techniques and principles.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and schedules.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
