NorthStar Insurance, one of New England’s leading independent insurance agents, is seeking an experienced Account Executive to help with our growth.
We are a large, vibrant, fast-growing agent who is centrally located in the western suburbs of Boston, convenient to major routes.
This role is responsible for interacting with and managing an assigned group of important accounts. This critical role requires management of the client relationship, ongoing management of coverage and risk management delivery, expansion of coverage, and account retention.

Job Responsibilities
- Acts as lead consultant and primary point of contact for a wide array of commercial clients.
- Managing account activity to drive achievement of customer satisfaction, persistency, growth, and profitability goals.
- Educates and advises clients on insurance needs based on a comprehensive understanding of their business. Identifies & recommends products / insurance programs to meet such needs.
- Understand customer business issues and needs through required proactive face-to-face customer visits and proactive phone contact;
builds, maintains, and manages positive ongoing customer relationships at all decision levels.
Provides guidance, direction, and oversight to Account Managers regarding marketing avenues and strategies, proposal and summary development, and problem-solving direction;
3 to 5 years of account management experience preferred.
- Maintains relationships with insurance carriers and facilitates insurance carrier negotiations.
- Ensures creation and execution of renewal strategy plan in accordance with workflows; communicates customers’ needs, issues, risks, and opportunities;
prepares and presents renewal to customer.
Keeps clients apprised of emerging industry trends and pertinent coverage considerations.

- Proven hands-on experience with an in-depth understanding of Commercial Lines Coverages.

- Must be able to work in a collaborative, team-oriented culture, where there may be 2 to 3 employees delivering service as the account team.
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
- Effective time management and problem-solving skills.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of directly related commercial lines insurance experience (5 plus years of experience preferred).
- Property & casualty license required.
Role requires onsite presence. Limited remote hours can be discussed.
