Job Description : Responsibilities :

Responsibilities :

• Perform all work in compliance with safety procedures and policies.
• Client out mechanical tubing and use appropriate tools for assigned tasks.
• Operate tubing benders to fabricate lines for oil, gas, and fuel systems in turbine packages.
• Work with different kinds and grades of pipes, tubing, and structural materials for assembling turbine packages.
• Review, interpret, and apply complex assembly instructions, specifications, electrical schematics, and blueprints.
• Inventory, clean, and visually inspect all components, and stage all equipment needed for assembly.
• Safely offload incoming parts from transport using proper lifting / rigging equipment.
• Perform the fitting of structural components using appropriate tools and methods for the assembly of SGT 100-400 and A-35 / A-65 Gas Turbine and compressor packaging.
• Assist fitters and electricians in the assembly and testing of turbines and associated equipment.
• Conduct or assist in the full load testing of gas turbines.
• Perform measurements and adjustments to achieve correct tolerances, and record measurements for review.
• Notify management / engineering of any issues or deviations from specifications.
• Regularly carry out and document maintenance and cleaning work as per specifications or maintenance plans, including minor repairs within available expertise.
• Collaborate with management / engineering to refine assembly best practices and train less experienced assembly technicians.
• Make part adjustments using various machining techniques.
• Assist and cross-train for testing and packaging departments as needed.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
• Perform all assigned duties as necessary.
• Enforce and practice all company work instructions and any quality control system programs implemented by the company.
• Educational Requirements :
• High School Diploma or GED.

Experience :

• 5 years of relevant experience in the assembly of rotating equipment manufacturing.
• Preference for applicants with specific expert knowledge of Turbomachinery rotating equipment assembly, particularly SGT 100-400 and A-35 / A-65 Gas Turbine and compressor packaging.

Skills and Knowledge :

• Proficient in inspecting, repairing, replacing, installing, and maintaining all electrical components and assemblies on gas turbines and associated packages.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematic / wiring diagrams, and identify electrical components such as breakers, disconnect switches, starters, relays, timers, and overloads.
• Skilled in wiring panels and laying out mechanical tubing using appropriate tools.
• Competent in operating tubing benders to fabricate required lines for oil, gas, and fuel systems in turbine packages.
• Experience working with various kinds and grades of pipes, tubing, and structural materials for the assembly of turbine packages.
• Proficient in reviewing and interpreting complex assembly instructions, specifications, electrical schematics, and blueprints.
• Ability to read and interpret P&ID drawings.
• Knowledgeable in the workings of turbines, their controls, and associated equipment.
• Proficiency in using micrometers and indicators to measure tolerances to 0.001 , hand tools, air grinders, and overhead lifting devices.
