Overview
The PMO Analyst and Project Management Coach will play a pivotal role in the oversight and advancement of our project management office (PMO).
This dual-faceted position requires a unique blend of analytical prowess and coaching skills to enhance our project management practices and drive project success.
Primary Responsibilities
- Support and implement continuous improvements on PMO processes, tools, and metrics to ensure alignment with industry standards and organizational objectives.
- Conduct thorough analysis of project data to identify trends, forecast outcomes, and provide actionable insights.
- Facilitate the continuous improvement of project management methodologies, incorporating best practices and lessons learned.
- Serve as a mentor and coach to project managers and teams, fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration.
- Design and deliver training sessions on project management principles, tools, and techniques.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to define project priorities, resource allocation, and strategic direction.
- Establish and maintain a project portfolio dashboard to provide executive oversight and decision support.
- Advocate for the value of project management across the organization, promoting its role in achieving business goals.
- Provide guidance and support during project initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and closure phases.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies within project execution.
- Drive the adoption of agile methodologies where appropriate, tailoring coaching and support to the needs of individual project teams.
- Perform regular project health checks and audits, recommending corrective actions as necessary.
- Champion a learning environment, encouraging knowledge sharing and professional development among PMO staff.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- Certification in Project Management (PMP) is highly desirable.
- Certification in Agile Frames, SAFe, Scrum Alliance, CSM, CSPO, CAL-E or CAL-T
- Proven experience in PMO operations, project analysis, and management coaching.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and translate it into strategic initiatives.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a talent for nurturing growth and development in others.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools, with a keen eye for technological innovations that can enhance PMO effectiveness.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire teams in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
