Job Title : IT Project Manager (Data Science Project Manager)
Location : Urbandale, IA, 50322
Type : ONLY on W2 contract (NO C2C)
Length : 09 / 25 / 2023 to 03 / 29 / 2024 (6 months)
Onsite- Monday-Friday 8-5
Major Duties :
Participates in the project and program planning process of new products / services and / or major improvements to existing products / services.
Develops the plan and leads the project team in executing that plan. Applies a solid foundation in project and program management and executing that plan.
Applies sophisticated project management discipline and experience. Project plan developed by focusing on project definition, scope, business requirements, completion dates, resource allocation, and quality / reliability.
Uses sophisticated dependency management, risk management, communication strategies, etc. as part of managing the success of projects.
Builds project management skills in others.
Ensures project quality by adhering to standards in development, testing and quality methodologies assuring integration with other systems.
Assists in coaching and developing teams on Agile best practices and methodologies.
Provides day-to-day work direction and assistance to a group of professional staff, primarily in the context of work needed against project plans.
Monitors ongoing project status and maintains communication with business partners or stakeholders regarding the project status.
The nature of projects requires significant communications outside the immediate project team.
Looks for process improvement and process definition opportunities and leads others in adhering to existing processes and contributing to their improvement.
Required experience :
Years of experience- 5-8 years of experience working in / with management information systems
Experience working with and across multiple agile teams
Software : Rally, general MS applications, GitHub
Strong communication skills
Strong technical aptitude
