Mission

Reeves Construction Company is currently seeking an individual for the position of Asphalt Paver Screed Operator based out of Augusta, GA.

The successful candidate for this role will have an uncompromising focus on safety excellence. Asphalt Paver Screed Operator's primary function is to adjust the screed height on the paving machine to establish proper depth, grade and finish to ensure the consistency of the asphalt mat and the overall ride quality of the finished pavement.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

This includes, but is not limited to the following :

• Needs to have the ability to correctly set up paver screed, lay a uniform thickness.
• An accurate and working knowledge of the paver screed (ex. correct speed, check on material coming out of truck, straight lines)
• The ability to take a leadership role on the crew
• The willingness and ability to keep paver and screed maintained and clean
• The willingness to work nights and weekends
• The ability to operate equipment in a safe and consistent manner

Qualifications

• Must have 6 months to 1 year of experience
• Must have knowledge of various asphalt mixes
• Must have experience working in and around construction equipment
• Provide own transportation to and from work

Employee must have 20 / 40 vision, either naturally or with corrective lenses. Hearing should be excellent or corrected by audio device.
