Job Description

The Sales Operations Analyst will be a member of the Data Strategy and Business Intelligence team within Sales Ops at Dynatrace, and will be part of a dynamic, fast paced organization experiencing rapid growth and success.

Successful candidates will have the ability to quickly understand the sales organizations needs at a global scale and will be able to work with technical teams to implement and design datasets / dashboards to articulate business trends to non-technical users.

The candidate will work frequently with Sales and operations leadership and Business Systems teams to leverage analytics and provide business insights to Executive leadership, Sales management, and internal operations.

The role will act as a key business partner with Sales, Sales Operations, CRM, Business Systems, Finance, etc.

  • Work with stakeholders by building dashboards, supporting special data projects, leveraging data to identify and tell a story around business performance
  • Develop and publish reports utilizing Power BI, Salesforce, and Excel for monitoring and analyzing business performance
  • Curate actionable datasets for stakeholders by developing SQL queries in PostreSQL and Snowflake.
  • Translate end-user requirements into technical specifications for development and BI teams
  • Act as a resource for technical teams to validate and implement enhancements and improve processes
  • Work with stakeholders to ensure quality and accuracy of data
  • Provide training to stakeholders on how to access and use reports.
  • Respond to feedback promptly and actively adjust reporting to better fit the needs of the business
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to improve current operations reporting to improve efficiency and provide recommendations on new data to capture for future analysis
  • Hybrid role, but seeking candidates commutable to the Waltham, MA office

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • 1+ years of relevant Sales Operations or Finance Operations experience
  • Bachelor’s degree required

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in analytics with Software or High Tech companies
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher Preferably in Business, Information Systems, Statistics, Data Science, Computer Science, or similar field
  • Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or similar reporting experience
  • Experience and proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables, graphing, complex formulas, and Visual Basic macros
  • Experience with SQL (Postgres, Snowflake, or similar DBMS)
  • Experience using scripting languages to work with data such as Python or R
  • High level of comfort navigating and leveraging Salesforce.com (or related CRM)
  • Comprehensive grasp of data modeling and data visualization methods
  • Knowledge of data gathering, cleaning and transforming techniques
  • Ability to tell the business story through summarizing your data findings and contextual insights with the use of data visualization tools
  • Demonstrated written and verbal presentation skills to present insights and compelling recommendations to a diverse and often senior audience
  • Analytical mind with a problem-solving aptitude
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy of results
  • Proven track record of delivering timely and accurate results in a fast-paced environment
