At Teq, we sell and support cutting-edge edtech and have a true passion for hands-on learning. You’ll work with a team to support schools with product demos (pre-sale) and training (post-sale).

Teq provides in-depth training that enables you to become the go-to expert. As a PD & Product Field Specialist, you will provide PD workshops, implementation training, and on-site coaching / mentoring to schools in the Tennessee / Mississippi region.

You will also provide internal training to our sales, PD, and technical support teams.

What you’ll do

In the first week...

  • Learn Teq’s product and service offerings; practice demo techniques
  • Meet with different Teq departments to understand processes & systems
  • Observe sales calls, online presentations, and trainings

In the first month...

  • Learn PD course offerings; continue to build product expertise
  • Participate in sales calls and presentations; understand needs & challenges of customers
  • Develop understanding of local school and curriculum issues to inform effective communication with customers and build client trust
  • Communicate with clients before scheduled services to determine needs
  • Begin demos to school boards, administrators, teachers, and students

Second month and beyond...

  • Be the expert on Teq PD courses and associated technology for pre-sales and post-sales support
  • Continue cultivating and nurturing relationships; use product and territory expertise to suggest and demo appropriate products and services
  • Increase teacher effectiveness and student outcomes through customized PD training and mentoring
  • Create and deliver workshops that reflect understanding of current issues and trends in education and give educators practical strategies to use in the classroom
  • Participate in on-going educational and training opportunities

What you’ll bring to the table

  • Reside in Tennessee or Mississippi with the ability to travel extensively in the region and occasionally beyond
  • A passion for instructional technology and its effective use in K-12 classrooms
  • K-12 classroom teaching experience
  • Understanding market dynamics; ability to speak knowledgeably to educators about industry-specific topics
  • Excellent computer skills; tech-savvy and a quick learner (coding ability a big plus)
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organization, time management, and presentation skills
  • Bachelor’s or master's in education, edtech, or related field preferred
  • Experience providing PD designed to effectively integrate technology into curriculum and instruction preferred
  • Familiarity with NGSS and / or Common Core a plus

Compensation and perks

  • $60,000+ starting salary
