We are seeking a Quality Control Technician to join our expanding team. Reporting to the Quality Manager.

In this role, you will support the Quality team on domestic and international quality checks of incoming products. You will also be solely responsible for creating product audit sheets in our cloud-based quality system called Qarma.

This role will also be the main point of contact for customer service when assistance is needed to answer customer questions.

Responsibilities

At Foundations, there is limitless opportunity and plenty of room to grow. The following describes some of the core activities you will perform :

Quality Audits of incoming product. Visual and dimensional verification (inspection) to requirements utilizing micrometers, calipers, and other inspection equipment as required.

Reviewing submitted product audit reports by off-site auditors.

Assist Customer Service and the Parts department in regards to customer complaints and issues.

Strict adherence to the quality process set forth by the Director of Quality.

Physically inspect and correct completion of quality check sheets for each product.

Following proper protocol in cases of nonconformance for communication and product isolation.

Audit Database : maintain and store all past audit information from US and China QC personnel.

Product Rework : perform product rework deemed necessary.

Product Preparation for trade shows and customer events : responsible for preparing specified products for customer presentations and shows.

There may also be transportation of the product to the location of the show or customer presentation which could require driving a truck with a box trailer and overnight stays.

Requirements

Required Experience & Skills

To be successful in this role, we are looking for the following :

Associate degree in Engineering or equivalent work experience in a distribution center and / or manufacturing environment.

Must have strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.

Ability to read and interpret product detail drawings using dwgs and pdfs.

Able to handle multiple projects concurrently while meeting deadlines / schedules.

Positive, can-do attitude.

Ability to learn new software platforms i.e. ERP systems, Cloud based QC management systems, Microsoft Office Suite.

Comfortable and confident in cross-collaborating with internal teams, outside vendors, and customers.

Fundamental knowledge of metal, wood, and plastic materials as well as knowledge of the processing and fabrication methods used in manufacturing those materials is strongly desired.

Willing to travel domestically, as needed, to work with development partners and suppliers ( 20%).

Physical Requirements

Ability to lift 50 lbs.

Ability to stand or sit for extended period of time.

Fine motor skills with frequent hand and arm movement.

Frequent twisting and bending.
