Industrial Field Service Technician (Steel Mill Operations) — Braddock, PA
Express Employment Professionals is partnering with a local client to hire an experienced technician who thrives in heavy industrial environments. If you enjoy hands-on problem solving, supporting production teams, and seeing the immediate impact of your work, this role is for you.
A day in the life
Picture your shift starting on the mill floor. You check safety notes, then head to a customer area to review overnight logs from steelmaking operations. You help prep a field trial on a refractory solution, install and test system components, and capture data for the team. Midday, you jump into troubleshooting a unit, coordinate a delivery, and guide an operator through proper maintenance steps. Before you wrap up, you attend a safety huddle and finalize daily reports for the Account Manager.
Compensation and schedule
- Starting pay : $24 / hr (with pay increase upon full-time hire)
- Evaluation-to-hire opportunity
- Schedule : Weekends and variable weekdays; typical rotations include Wednesday–Sunday or Saturday–Wednesday
- Start date : ASAP
