We are in search of a dedicated Administrative Assistant to join our non-profit organization based in SAN PEDRO, California.
This role is crucial to our mission of providing food, shelter, transitional housing, childcare, and support services to the homeless and working poor in the South Bay.
The successful candidate will act as a Case Manager, administering case management to clients in our A Bridge Home (ABH) program.
This contract to hire position requires availability during weekends, holidays, and evenings.
Responsibilities include :
- Conducting a Vulnerability Index Service Prioritization and Decision Assistant Tool (VI-SPDAT) to ascertain the vulnerability and acuity of homeless individuals.
- Initiating contact and establishing a productive working relationship with clients to assist with attaining housing and access to required services.
- Assisting in procuring housing readiness documentation such as ID, social security card, and income verification.
- Assisting in the completion of housing applications and accompanying clients to housing appointments.
- Maintaining complete client records, including data entry and client files, daily activity logs, mileage logs, and other reports as directed.
- Establishing and fostering positive, productive working relationships with mental health professionals, shelter programs, local police departments, and other local officials.
- Attending staff meetings, case conferences, trainings, and workshops as required and completing other duties as assigned.
- Utilizing skills in case management, client relations, customer service, and data entry to perform duties efficiently and effectively.
