Minimum 1+ years special education experience required.
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Education Teacher to join our team full-time in a resource room setting near Lyme,Connecticut.
The ideal candidate will provide individualized support to students with diverse learning needs, helping them succeed academically, socially, and emotionally.
Key Responsibilities :
- Provide direct instruction and support to students with IEPs in a resource room setting.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and parents to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs).
- Monitor and assess student progress, making adjustments to instruction as needed.
- Manage and maintain accurate documentation of student performance and progress.
- Participate in team meetings, IEP meetings, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure student success.
- Foster a positive, inclusive learning environment where students feel safe and supported.
Qualifications :
- Valid Connecticut teaching certification in Special Education.
- Experience working in a resource room or with students who have special education needs.
- Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with staff, students, and families.
