Our 3 North 25 bed medical surgical unit specializes in Hematology and Oncology patients. The unit is capable of telemetry monitoring and nurses are required to be proficient with EKG tracings.
Physicians routinely request that their patients be admitted to this unit. They appreciate the experience, compassion and teamwork shown by the professionals on this unit.
New graduates are offered a twelve week orientation with experienced preceptors. Chemotherapy certification is required and is available in a five day course offered at our Cancer Center.
The Nurse to patient ratio you can expect is 4 : 1 or 5 : 1 with support staff available for a strong continuity of care.
Our nurse residency program is available to all registered nurses who hire with our team.
