As VP of Engineering, you will play a pivotal role in driving the strategic vision and technical execution for OpenBCI's hardware and software products.
The salary range is $150,000 to $190,000, depending on experience.

- Stay informed of the latest advancements in brain-computer interface (BCI) technology and related fields.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum 5 years of experience leading engineering teams in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment.
- Proven track record of shipping high-quality hardware and software products on time and within budget.
- Experience in managing and scaling engineering organizations.
- Deep understanding of the product development lifecycle from concept to launch.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and leadership skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in the BCI industry
- Experience with AI industry
- Familiarity with agile development methodologies
- Proficiency in at least one of these engineering disciplines : electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, firmware development, or software development.
We understand you may not be an expert in all areas, but a strong working knowledge in at least one is essential.
- Familiarity with the remaining engineering disciplines mentioned above (electrical, mechanical, firmware, software).
- Experience in building and managing cross-functional teams.
- Strong understanding of regulatory requirements.
- Experience in fundraising or securing grant funding.
- Understanding of the trade-offs between open-source and commercialization approaches for technology development.
