We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our team and help us build the next generation of healthcare technology.
Job Description :
As our Mechanical Engineer, you will be tasked with designing, testing, and implementing systems and components for our robots.
You will work alongside a team of mechanical & software engineers to develop the nexts generation of inventory automation robotics.
Your primary responsibilities will be :
- Investigating features to simplify robot construction, installation, and maintenance
- Conducting tests and experiments to validate design concepts and ensure product performance and reliability
Requirements :
- We are not considering relocation at this time.
- This an onsite role. Candidates must be able to commute to New York (38th & 8th) 5 days per week.
- At least 1 year of experience in mechanical design and development, preferably in robotics or automation.
- Strong proficiency in 3D CAD software, such as Onshape, SolidWorks, Creo, etc.
- Experience in rapid prototyping and 3D printing.
- Familiarity with basic hand tools : drills, screwdrivers, pliers, etc.
- Familiarity with motion components, like stepper motors, pumps, solenoids, and linear actuators
Preferred Qualifications :
- Previous experience in small startups
- Experience with machine shop tools and prototyping equipment (CNC machines, milling machines, drill presses, chop saws, laser cutters, etc.)
- Experience with injection mold design and / or sheet metal design
- Familiarity with Design For Manufacture and Assembly (DFMA)
- Familiarity with FEA tools
- Experience working in the retail healthcare industry
Compensation :
- $75-$85k / annually (based on experience)
- Equity in the company
