Epic Travel Staffing is hiring a Travel RN - ICU

Shift : Nights, 6 : 45p-7 : 15a, 12x3, 36 hrs per week

Length : 13 weeks

3 weekends per 6-week schedule block

Other Details :

• Target Ratios : 1 : 1-3 acuity based
• Must be flexible to float where need, could include CICU, MS, Tele & ER
• UNIT SYSTEMS (Medication, Documentation, Communication) : Omnicell, Cerner, SBAR
• Accepts first time travelers with Cerner experience only (Screen if first time traveler with no Cerner)
• Traveler Experience : Accepts first time travelers with Cerner experience only (Screen if first time traveler with no Cerner)

REQUIRED SKILLS / CERTS / EXP :

Minimum Years of Experience : 2 years experience required

Traveler Experience : Accepts first time travelers with Cerner experience only (Screen if first time traveler with no Cerner)

Locals Accepted / Rate Difference : Does not accept candidates within 50 miles of facility

Skills :

Certs : ACLS, Trauma / Neuro experience

JOB DETAILS :

Shift : 3, 12Hr 18 : 45-7 : 15

Call Requirement : None

Float Requirement : Must be flexible to float where need, could include CICU, MS, Tele & ER

Weekend Requirement : 3 weekends per 6-week schedule block

PATIENT DIAGNOSES : Sepsis, Shock, Multi-organ failure, Respiratory Failure, Trauma, Neuro / brain injuries, Complicated surgeries, stroke, encephalopathy.

SPECIAL PROCEDURES / UNIT DETAILS : Unit Based Educator available M-F and PRN

SPECIAL EQUIPMENT : Ceiling lifts, hoyer lifts, sit to stand lifts, extensive amount of safe-patient handling equipment.

Intensive care unit travel nurse jobs, otherwise known as critical care unit (CCU) travel nurse jobs, specialize in providing care to the most acutely ill patients in the hospital.

An ICU travel nurse might work in ICU burn unit, abdominal transplant acute care, neuro ICU, post-op, surgical ICU (SICU), trauma ICU or cardiovascular ICU (CVICU).

Critical care nurses may also care for age-specific patients in the pediatric ICU (PICU) or neonatal ICU (NICU). Aside from clinical care such as skills with ventilators and tracheostomy tubes, travel ICU nurse jobs need a RN who can deliver progress updates and support to patients and / or their family.
