7 : 00 PM - 7 : 30 AM, Rapid Response 3x12 Hr Guaranteed Hours : 36 hours per week Experience : Minimum one (1) year of relevant nursing experience License : RN License in good standing Certifications : - BLS (American Heart Association) - ACLS (American Heart Association) Must-Have : - Documentation skills - Experience with EMR (Electronic Medical Records) - Cardiac and patient monitoring skills Job Description : Assume responsibility for a group of patients, providing care through the nursing process, incorporating nursing trends, technology, and resources aligned with the institution's philosophy.
- Perform all unit-specific responsibilities and duties within the scope of service.- Implement procedures and theories pertinent to the area of practice.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of nursing care.- Complete initial patient assessments upon admission and develop, implement, and modify care plans based on patient and family needs.
- Ensure patient and employee safety by reporting and correcting safety hazards.- Communicate effectively with team members to resolve issues, offer constructive feedback, and expand knowledge.
- Identify learning needs and take initiative for professional growth.- Manage care of acute and chronically ill cardiac and pulmonary patients, including medication administration, procedures, pain management, IV venipuncture, and blood administration.
- Prepare patients for discharge and provide necessary instructions for safe transition from hospital.- Document all care provided using EMR and ensure team huddles occur.
- Evaluate patients, delegate tasks with appropriate follow-up, and address call lights.- Ensure basic care tasks like turning and toileting are done per standards.
- Engage in conflict management and maintain professional communication with all team members.
