General Statement
Adjunct instructors teach courses within a specific discipline to a diverse student population on our main campus in Worcester and / or at additional satellite locations within our service area.
We are especially interested in instructors who are qualified to teach general biology, anatomy & physiology, medical microbiology, chemistry, and physics courses.
Courses assigned are primarily day courses, and responsibilities include instructional preparation, assessment of student performance and assistance to students.
Adjunct faculty will attend a limited number of faculty meetings.
Job Requirements :
Minimum Qualifications
- Master's degree in Biology / Physics / Chemistry or Science Education or related discipline
- One year of successfully teaching biology, chemistry or physics lecture and laboratory in high school or college.
Preferred Qualifications
- Documented examples of syllabus / course development and assessment
- Demonstrated experience using a Learning Management System;
- Demonstrated experience in using technology in the teaching of biology, chemistry or physics in the classroom, including publisher web-based content;
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate with other science instructors;
- Demonstrated experience teaching in a remote videoconferencing modality;
- Ability to teach day, evening or weekend classes in more than one campus location
