Job Summary

The Senior Buyer performs daily functions associated with the procurement of product for resale as well as consumables. Responsible for developing a best practices approach for purchasing products, at the most competitive price, maintaining supplier relationships, while ensuring the accuracy of all purchasing processes.

Responsibilities And Duties

• Issue purchase orders to approved suppliers.
• As assigned - issue purchase orders to maintain adequate stocking levels for "A" items.
• Establish min / max system for replenishment and issue purchase orders for consumables.
• Perform other daily administrative tasks to support purchasing department.
• When necessary, expedite product to ensure timely delivery.
• As needed assist Quality Department in conflict resolution with discrepant parts, paperwork, freight damage, returns, etc.
• Create strong and lasting relationships with suppliers.
