C. is hiring a Service Manager in Elkridge, Maryland. The Service Manager position is responsible for directing and coordinating customer service activities by conferring with customers and representatives to evaluate and maintain good customer relations, servicing accounts in a timely manner, resolving complaints and ensuring effective communications.
The individual in this role also develops and grows business through the management of service to achieve targeted sales and gross profit margins, while monitoring and controlling service expenses to ensure income is maintained at highest possible percentage.
Must administer all company safety policies and training according to established procedures along with ensuring conformance to company policies and best practice.
Engage in the typical responsibilities of a manager, including planning, evaluating, organizing, reporting and integrating.
Responsible for overseeing staff, conducting performance evaluations, training and development of staff, etc. Seeking candidates with previous experience leading and managing team in a service industry.
Background in service operations and comprehensive knowledge of heavy equipment repair procedures and applications preferred.
College / technical degree, or comparable industry experience, preferred.
Requirements for the Service Manager position include :

- Effectively manage work in process by ensuring work orders are closed in accordance with established time-lines.
- Conduct regularly scheduled safety meetings and enforce all safety policies and procedures; investigate and report on-the-job accidents or safety hazards.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to read, analyze, and interpret general business reports, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.

Physical requirements must be met for the Service Manager job, including the ability sit or stand for prolonged periods of time.

Starting Compensation Range : $82,500-$100,000
Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, skills, candidate qualifications, education, geographic location, and other relevant business factors.
In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance e.
g. discretionary incentive programs or non-discretionary incentive plans including overtime.
