Plant Engineer

An employee-owned foundry in Indiana is seeking an experienced maintenance professional to lead our team. This role involves providing technical support and mentorship, with key responsibilities including leadership, training, communication, safety, quality control, and enforcing continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications & Experience :

  • B.S. degree in Industrial / Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of demonstrated leadership in maintenance within a foundry setting.
  • Advanced knowledge in :
  • Blueprints
  • Hydraulics & Pneumatics
  • Electricity & Electronics
  • Electrical Troubleshooting
  • Pipefitting & Industrial Rigging
  • Mechanical Drives & Bulk Handling Conveyors
  • Machine Installation in a heavy industrial foundry environment.
  • Comprehensive understanding of all foundry processes and equipment.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting complex blueprints, schematics, and design plans.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Familiarity with Statistical Process Control (SPC).
  • Knowledge or experience with ISO 9001 quality systems or equivalent standards.
  • Strong understanding of safe work practices and OSHA health and safety requirements.

Requirements :

  • Foundry experience is mandatory.
