Technology Leadership Role
Lead FNBO's technology strategy and execution for Wealth Management and Capital Markets divisions, driving innovation while ensuring systems reliability, security, and compliance. This role bridges business objectives with technological solutions to enhance client experience, optimize operations, and maintain competitive advantage in rapidly evolving financial services markets.
This Technology leadership role is located ONSITE in Omaha, NE. We are unable to sponsor candidates at this time.
Strategic Leadership
- Develop and execute technology roadmaps aligned with Wealth Management and Capital Markets business objectives
- Partner with division leaders to identify opportunities for technological enhancement and innovation
- Establish technology governance frameworks that balance innovation with security and compliance requirements
- Represent technology considerations in executive-level planning and decision-making
Technology Management
Oversee architecture, development, and maintenance of platforms supporting investment management, trading, portfolio management, and client reportingDirect the evaluation and implementation of third-party financial technology solutionsEnsure integration of wealth management and capital markets systems with core banking infrastructureLead technology modernization initiatives to replace legacy systems with current solutionsTeam Leadership
Manage a team of technology professionals including engineers, architects, and delivery leadsFoster a culture of innovation, continuous learning, and technical excellenceDevelop talent through mentorship, training, and growth opportunitiesBuild collaborative relationships between technology teams and business stakeholdersRisk Management & Compliance
Ensure all systems meet regulatory requirements including SEC, FINRA, and OCC standardsImplement robust data security measures to protect sensitive financial and client informationOversee disaster recovery and business continuity planning for critical systemsCollaborate with compliance and risk management teams on technology risk assessmentsThe Ideal Candidate for This Role
Education & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred10+ years of progressive technology experience in financial services, with at least 5 years in wealth management or capital markets7+ years in technology leadership roles with demonstrated success in managing complex projects and teamsStrong understanding of investment management platforms, trading systems, and financial market data infrastructureTechnical Knowledge
Expert understanding of wealth management and capital markets technology ecosystemsExperience with portfolio management systems, order management systems, and investment accounting platformsKnowledge of market data platforms, trading connectivity, and execution management systemsUnderstanding of API integration, data architecture, and cloud infrastructure in financial servicesFamiliarity with regulatory technology requirements in wealth managementLeadership & Business Skills
Exceptional communication skills with ability to translate complex technical concepts for business audiencesStrategic thinking with proven ability to align technology initiatives with business outcomesStrong vendor management skills and experience negotiating complex technology contractsDemonstrated success in leading organizational change and technology transformationPreferred Experience
Implementation of major wealth management platformsExperience with capital markets trading platforms and market connectivityBackground in digital transformation of wealth management client experiencesKnowledge of AI and machine learning applications in investment managementExperience with API strategy and open banking initiativesCandidates must possess unrestricted work authorization and not require future sponsorship.
Compensation range (base pay) : $133,975.00-$227,758.00. This role may have a specific starting pay within this range. Final compensation offer to candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon work experience, education, and / or skill level.
