About The Position
Job Title : Registered Nurse (RN) Job Specialty : Labor & Delivery (L&D) Job Duration : 16 weeks Shift : 12-Hour Nights (19 : 00 - 07 : 30), float required to postpartum as needed Guaranteed Hours : 36 hours per week Experience : Minimum 5 years License : Required Certifications : ACLS, BLS, NRP Must-Have : - EPIC Experience - Ability to circulate in the OR - Experience with titration of drips including Pitocin, Magnesium Sulfate, and Insulin Job Description : - Provide nursing care in Labor & Delivery, ensuring patient safety and quality.
- Administer and monitor titratable and set rate drips.- Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, including OB / Neonatology and Anesthesia, available 24 / 7.
- Follow AWHONN guidelines for patient ratios.- Rotate between Labor & Delivery and Postpartum units as required.- Utilize EPIC Systems Corporation EpicCare Inpatient EMR for documentation.
- Participate in weekend and holiday shifts as scheduled.- Utilize provided navy blue scrubs and jackets for uniform.- Adhere to the hospital's policy of one shift cancellation per two-week period.
- Engage with surgical techs and LPNs; 2 surgical techs available 24 hours, 2 LPNs on days, 1 on nights.- Conduct and interpret Electronic Fetal Monitoring using the Obix system.
- Commitment to a supportive environment for patients experiencing active labor, postpartum recovery, gestational hypertension, and gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM).
