About The Position
Job Title : Optical Logistics Technician Job Specialty : Optical Logistics Job Duration : 6-week contract Shift : Day - 5x8 - 08 : 00AM - 04 : 00PM - 40 Hours Guaranteed Hours : 40.
00 Experience : At least 1 year of any type of assembly, light manufacturing, or warehouse experience is required. License : N / A Certifications : N / A Must-Have : - Ability to follow and interpret oral and written directions.
- Effective communication skills and ability to project a positive image.- Basic computer knowledge and experience.- Capability to complete tasks requiring analytical thinking.
- Ability to stand for the majority of the 8-hour shift. Job Description : Conduct cycle counts and oversee office or distribution center inventories.
- Handle product exchanges and process merchandise returns.- Receive and order products, review various inventory reports, and manage stock levels while adhering to the established budget.
- Additional responsibilities may include pulling lenses and matching them to frames, working on the assembly line, or following up on patient orders.
- Preferred : Experience in shipping, receiving, warehouse, or assembly line operations.- Familiarity with inventory or shipping / receiving software systems, such as Acuity Logic, is preferred.
- Prior optical experience with a strong emphasis on optical product knowledge is preferred. Education : - Required : High School Diploma or G.
E.D.- Preferred : N / A Preferred Experience : A minimum of one year of experience in shipping and receiving merchandise and inventory procedures.
A minimum of one year of experience with inventory or shipping / receiving software systems.- A minimum of one year of optical experience with strong emphasis in optical product knowledge.
