Job Summary / Company :

Sparks Group has partnered with a globally recognized non-profit organization, to find a Senior Accounting Manager. As the Sr. Accounting Manager, you will be responsible for leading the accounting team to ensure the accurate, timely, and effective execution of all financial processes, including the month-end close, account reconciliations, and external audits. The position also focuses on driving process improvements and automation, maintaining the chart of accounts, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and internal policies. The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, at least 10 years of accounting experience to including leading a team, hold a current CPA license and has worked for a larger nonprofit organization with more complex accounting. Responsibilities :

  • Lead and develop the accounting team, setting expectations, managing workload, and ensuring timely, high-quality delivery of all financial results.
  • Drive and streamline the monthly close process, ensuring accuracy, preparing variance analysis, and partnering with IT for process automation and improvement.
  • Manage the annual external financial statement audit, oversee the preparation of financial statements and tax returns, and ensure timely review of all account reconciliations and journal entries.
  • Ensure compliance and financial integrity by reviewing contracts, researching and implementing new accounting standards, and maintaining the chart of accounts and internal policies.
  • Serve as a key cross-functional partner to other departments, proactively identifying issues, presenting financial results, and enhancing a professional and accountable environment.

Qualifications / Background Profile :

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or similar field
  • CPA license required
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in accounting roles
  • Understanding of GAAP.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and experience with large ERP systems.
  • Experience working in non-profit with more complex accounting.
  • This job is Hybrid Remote.

    Pay Range : Salary $115,000.00 to $155,000.00
