Senior Associate Scientist, B Cell Biology

We are seeking a highly driven and creative Senior Associate Scientist to join an exciting new research group investigating B cell biology.

We study methods to elicit robust B cell responses as well as develop approaches to characterize and isolate B cells of interest.

As a Senior Associate Scientist, a typical day might include :

• Optimizing strategies to elicit robust B cell responses in vivo
• Characterizing B cell development in genetically engineered mice
• Developing approaches to characterize plasma cell responses
• Designing and performing in vivo mouse immunization studies
• Running ELISA-based assays to measure antibody responses
• Carrying out multi-color flow cytometry staining and analysis
• Maintaining primary cell culture
• Presenting data in small and large group settings

This role might be for you if you :

• Are able to drive a project from designing and performing experiments through interpreting data and making figures
• Are highly organized and have experience managing a project, including maintaining an up-to-date lab notebook and detailed records
• Have critical thinking skills with appreciation for rigorous optimization and controls
• Are able to work collaboratively and are adaptable based on the evolving needs of the group

In order to be considered for this opportunity, you must have at least a BS / MS and at least 3 years of relevant experience in immunology or a related field.

Must have experience with vaccination, tissue isolation, blood sampling, multi-parameter flow cytometry, and ELISA. Knowledge of B cell and plasma cell biology, as well as experience in primary culture of B cells and plasma cells, is a plus.

Salary Range (annually)

$77,600.00 - $126,600.00
