Job Summary
We areseeking a Commercial / BD Specialist to join the Strategy BD &Market Impact Division of the LTC Business & ProjectDevelopment Department.
The Strategy BD & Market ImpactDivision is responsible for four main areas : Strategy &Business Development Market Intelligence Economical & Financialanalysis and general program support.
The Commercial / BD Specialistprimary role is to bring insights into various Oil Gas / Petchemmarkets and sectors to uncover and develop business opportunitiesthat would lead to one of several transaction types namely merger& acquisition joint venture partnership divestitures and / orthirdparty outsourcing projects.
- Helps in sourcing screeninganalyzing planning and developing new business ventures or aportfolio of ventures; provides highlevel professional expertise inthe development and management of new business ventures;
- assistsDepartment in leading business portfolios and managing developmentof commercial agreements; providing administrative direction toanalysts in reviewing legal documents;
supports projects inmanaging negotiation strategy and execution.
Responsibilities :
- Possess strong commercial acumen andadaptability to navigate in a changing businesslandscape.
- Assess and recommendcommercialization roadmaps for graduated projects.
- Generate new business ideas and evaluate theirfeasibility.
- Screen independent businessproposals using strategic and technical criteria to prioritizeopportunities aligned with the LTC strategy.
- Provide functional expertise to evaluate capabilities andrisks of proposed ventures.
- Lead and / orsupport negotiations of agreements with externalparties.
- Mentor train and develop youngprofessionals in the field.
- Have a proactivemindset and the ability to identify and capitalize on businessopportunities.
Requirements :

- Hold a Bachelors degreein Engineering Economics Business Administration Accounting Financeor a closely related specialty.
An MBA or relevant advanced degreeis highly preferred.
- Possess at least 15 yearsof professional experience in business development.
- Demonstrate a strong track record in conducting economicand commercial evaluations for major chemicals and refiningprojects.
- Have a deep understanding ofassociated operations and the integration of assets within theindustry.
- Possess expertise or knowledge inconducting technoeconomic feasibility studies.
- Have knowledge and experience in venturing activitiessuch as commercialization spinoffs or joint venturing.
- Familiarity with project development processes andmethodologies.
