Maintenance Technician

Cairo + Moultrie, GA l Temp to Perm l $17.00 - $20.00 / Hour

We are looking for a reliable, highly motivated and experienced Maintenance Technician who is passionate about providing excellent service.

As a maintenance technician, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day running of an apartment complex. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in the maintenance field, including experience with HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general maintenance tasks.

Responsibilities

• Perform various maintenance functions including but not limited to : painting, caulking, HVAC repairs, lock repairs, window / door repairs, electrical repairs, appliance repairs, preventative maintenance, and changing light bulbs, filters, batteries, etc.
• Repair and unclog toilets, sinks, showers, etc.
• Replace wooden floors as needed.
• Paint units, communal areas, and exterior walls as needed.
• Prepare vacant units in a timely manner for new tenants.
• Complete residents service requests in within 24-hour period.
• Assist with the cleanliness of the properties. Maintain a clean and safe environment for residents. Sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors in communal areas.
• Remove any garbage on the grounds or in communal areas on the properties. Ensure the dumpsters are cleaned and any bulk item are removed.
• Investigate all the cars in the parking lots. Report any vehicles that are not in working condition.
• Inventory Control tracking inventory to ensure that you have adequate maintenance supplies and communicate to the Business Manager when supplies are needed
• Assist with cleanliness of communal laundry room. Remove any trash, wipe machines down, etc.
• Property Emergencies responsible for emergencies that may arise during normal business hours
• Perform daily inspections of the property as well as maintenance and upkeep duties as necessary to maintain safety, comfort, and aesthetics
• Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work performed
• Ensure that all work is completed in compliance with safety regulations and building codes
• Ensuring that fire extinguishers, hydrants, alarms, and emergency exits remain in excellent condition at all times
• Unlocking apartments in instances where tenants have lost of forgotten their keys
• Assist in scheduling repairs that warrant special technical skills
• Ensure that all maintenance items are kept in a safe area to prevent injuries to residents, employees, or visitors.
• Ensure proper removal and disposal of trash.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by business manager.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Valid Driver’s License and own transportation
• Must be able to commute to Cairo and Moultrie
• 3-5 years professional experience in the maintenance field
• Ability to stand for extended periods
• Possess an understanding of HVAC, plumbing, electrical and mechanical systems
• Must be able to move heavy equipment safely, using proper equipment
• Willing to undergo a criminal background screening
• Available to work on weekends, if required
• Ability to lift 50lbs+ throughout the shift

Location : Cairo + Moultrie, GA

Pay Range : $17.00 - $20.00 / Hour

Schedule : Monday Friday 8 : 00AM 5 : 30PM
