WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Be the face of MCR for new hires and team members; exemplify MCR's values and set a great example by always demonstrating excellent guest service and professionalism.
  • Practice, support, and promote the Vision Mission Statements and Core Values of the Muckleshoot Casino Resort (MCR).
  • Work in cooperation with Talent, HRIS, and Payroll to maintain accurate team member data.
  • Provide compensation analysis, benchmarking data, modeling, reporting, and problem-solving to support the company's overall compensation program.
  • Create policies and proactive procedures to ensure global compliance and equitable, competitive employee compensation.
  • Stay current with all relevant compensation laws, regulations, standards, and best practices, including FLSA, DOL, and other entities, to ensure compliance.
  • Lead and facilitate the compensation committee.
  • Act as a liaison to team members and leadership, providing answers to complex questions regarding compensation policies and procedures, and ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
  • Partner with Talent and People Business Partners to understand role requirements and provide guidance on compensation recommendations, policy interpretations, and job evaluations.
  • Collaborate on salary planning and incentive programs, ensuring they operate within budget and comply with legal requirements.
  • Lead compensation projects, including annual salary reviews, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Advocate for and deploy equitable compensation practices, promoting equity and transparency across the organization.
  • Provide training and communication to managers and employees on compensation-related topics to enhance knowledge and appreciation of the compensation package.
  • Create, maintain, and facilitate a positive work environment.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources or a related field. Additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of education.
  • Five (5) years of progressive experience in a compensation role.
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully navigate and mediate conflict resolution conversations and conduct accurate, objective, and timely internal investigations.
  • Excellent report writing skills.
  • PHR / SPHR or SHRM-CP / SHRM-SCP certification is a plus.

  • Advanced knowledge of Human Resources disciplines related to compensation.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks in a high-pressure environment with speed and accuracy.
  • Ability to work with and maintain confidential materials and information.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and HR-related software and systems.
  • Excellent guest service skills.

WHAT TO EXPECT

  • Availability - Ability to work 40+ hours per week, primarily Monday - Friday, dayshift. Some holidays, weekends, and nights may be required to support a 24 / 7 operation.
  • Physical - Ability to maneuver in all areas of the casino, ascent / descent from stairs, frequent standing, walking, sitting, reaching, stooping, kneeling, or crouching, and / or prolonged periods of time focusing on tasks.

Ability to lift at least 25 lbs. May regularly need to lift / move, push or pull up material or boxes necessary to the job function, with or without assistance.

  • Environment - Exposure to environmental tobacco smoke (ETS) while working and traversing on the gaming floor.
