Job Title : Lead Warehouse Technician

Position Summary :
The Warehouse Lead plays a critical role in overseeing daily warehouse operations, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and safety. This role acts as a liaison between warehouse associates and management, coordinating tasks, monitoring productivity, and assisting with training and problem resolution. The ideal candidate has strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and a hands-on approach to warehouse operations. The Lead Warehouse Technician is also expected to operate warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.

Badge In / Out :
Accurately tracking your time on site is crucial for all locations. Please ensure you badge in and out every time you arrive and depart. Following others in or out without badging is strictly prohibited.
While all sites require strict adherence to this process, Track sites have heightened protocols for tracking attendance. However, this practice is equally important at all locations for maintaining accurate time records and time sheets. Your cooperation in adhering to these procedures is essential and appreciated.

Education / Experience :
High School diploma or equivalent required. Associate or bachelor's degree preferred.
Language Ability :
Good interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to communicate effectively with teammates, managers, directors, and clients. Must be able to communicate effectively via electronic and digital mediums including email, telephone, text message, and Microsoft Teams. Must be fluent in English.
Math Ability :
Must be able to perform basic arithmetic. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Reasoning Ability :
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. The ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Computer Skills :
Basic computer skills include being able to use email, internet, Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software, databases, Microsoft office suite, and other programs.
Certificates / Licenses :
Valid driver's license and ability to travel to other company offices and job sites within the United States and across state lines.
Supervisory Responsibilities :
This position is responsible for coordinating a team of warehouse technicians. Supervisory responsibilities include coordinating technician schedules to ensure proper staffing levels, tracking technician performance and productivity, and enforcing client and Insight Environmental policies.

The primary working environment is an indoor warehouse with limited temperature control. Weather and temperatures can sometimes be unfavorable. Winter gear is provided. There will be occasional exposure to outdoor areas and uneven walking / working surfaces when retrieving materials from other areas on the jobsite.

While performing the duties of the job, the employee is required to stand, walk, sit, crouch, bend, twist, and reach. Employees are required to stand and / or walk for most of the workday. Must be able to lift and / or move up to 50 pounds unassisted – there may be instances where heavier weights are required to be moved with the use of assistance devices such as a pallet jack. Must have full function of both hands. Must be able to drive and / or ride in a vehicle for extended periods of time.
