We are looking for DevOps Engineer with a current DoD Top Secret clearance to join our client’s team in Northern Virginia in support of their federal customer.
As a DevOps Engineer, you’ll play a crucial role in assisting organizations with their migration to, management of, and operations within the Microsoft Azure environment, utilizing Azure Arc.
Your expertise in cloud computing and Azure will be essential in providing technical solutions and recommendations.
This is a direct hire position with a salary range of $165k - $190k. Individuals in this role must be within driving distance of Northern Virginia or be willing to relocate to the area in order to work onsite 25%.
Responsibilities Include :
Multicloud and On-Premises Management :
- Assist clients in managing their entire environment by projecting existing non-Azure and / or on-premises resources into Azure Resource Manager.
- Manage virtual machines, Kubernetes clusters, and databases as if they are running in Azure.
- Use familiar Azure services and management capabilities, regardless of where resources reside.
Server and Kubernetes Management :
- Manage Windows and Linux physical servers and virtual machines hosted outside of Azure.
- Attach and configure Kubernetes clusters running anywhere, using multiple supported distributions.
Azure Data Services :
Run Azure data services on-premises, at the edge, and in public clouds using Kubernetes and the infrastructure of your choice.
Currently, SQL Managed Instance and PostgreSQL services are available.
Custom Locations :
Configure custom locations as an abstraction layer on top of Azure Arc-enabled Kubernetes clusters and cluster extensions.
DevOps Practices :
Introduce DevOps practices to support new cloud-native patterns in client environments.
Required Experience, Skills, and Qualifications :
- Must have 10 - 15 years of relevant experience.
- Must be within driving distance of Northern Virginia OR willing to relocate to the area in order to work onsite 25%.
- Must possess an active DoD Top Secret clearance or above.
- Proficiency in Azure services, Kubernetes, and cloud-native technologies.
- Strong understanding of server management, virtualization, and database services.
- Ability to analyze complex environments and provide effective solutions.
- Troubleshoot issues related to multicloud and hybrid setups.
- Excellent communication skills to work with cross-functional teams and clients.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define requirements and implement solutions.
Desired Qualifications :
- Azure certifications (e.g., Azure Solutions Architect, Azure DevOps Engineer, or Azure Administrator) are a plus.
