  • Patient Ratios : 1 : 3 AM, 1 : 4 PM or 1 : 4AM, 1 : 5PM (with patient care techs)

  • REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS : BLS, ACLS
  • Advanced assessment and critical thinking skills
  • Management of vasoactive drips

    • Schedule Information

  • FT Staff : 36 hours / week with every 3rd weekend rotation
  • PT staff : 48 hours / week with every 3rd weekend rotation
  • PRN 1 Staff : 3 shifts in a 4-week period with 1 weekend shift requirement
  • PRN 2 Staff : 6 shifts in a 4-week period with 3 weekend shift requirements
  • Rotating holiday schedule

    • Unit Specific Information

  • Unit Specifics : Number of Beds : 36
  • Patient Ratios : 1 : 3 AM, 1 : 4 PM or 1 : 4AM, 1 : 5PM (with patient care techs)
  • Unit staffing description : Typically, total RN based care with no techs. Secretaries are scheduled 7am-7pm in the PCU and are available for a number of resources.
