We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to join the team at a 375+ bed rehabilitation and skilled nursing facility located in the Bronx.

Responsibilities :

• Management Support : Assist with management responsibilities and in maintaining the quality of care provided to residents.
• Staff Education & Infection Control : Oversee staff education programs and serve as the Infection Control Officer, ensuring all protocols are followed.
• Compliance and Communication : Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and facilitate effective communication at all levels of nursing staff.
• Resident Care : Meet the medical needs of all residents, ensuring they receive high-quality, compassionate care.
• Service Coordination : Coordinate and direct the comprehensive planning for nursing services within the facility.
• Nursing Knowledge : Maintain a thorough understanding of general nursing theory and practice to guide staff and ensure best practices.
• Medical Records : Ensure accurate and timely completion of medical records.
• Staff Management : Assist with the interviewing, hiring, and orientation of new nursing staff.
• Flexibility : Maintain a flexible work schedule to address unpredictable needs and support the nursing team effectively.

Qualifications :

• Licensure : Must possess a current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of New York.
• Experience : Minimum of 3 years of experience in long-term care settings. Preferred : 2 years of management experience and 1 year of staff education experience.
• Skills : Excellent communication skills, demonstrated leadership abilities, and effective supervision capabilities.
• Availability : Must be willing to work flexible hours as required.
