Director of Accounting - up to $215k + 30% bonus & Equity

Our client is a leader in the CPG space ($XB in revenue) and is looking for a Director of Accounting to join their growing team.

What you’ll be doing :

• Oversees the region’s close process and ensures the accurate and timely completion of transactions, journal entries, and account reconciliations to support the close and reporting processes
• Applies US GAAP and Corporate Accounting policies, and seeks guidance from the Corporate Controller’s office in complex situations
• Leads accurate and timely issuance of month-end, quarter, and annual financial reports
• Manages and monitors critical accounts such as, but not limited to, accounts receivable, sales, sales adjustments, cost of sales, variable costs, POS, and inventory
• Manages internal and external audits in coordination with leadership and the Corporate Controller’s office
• Analyzes the region’s financial results with respect to profits, trends, costs, and compliance with budgets in coordination with the region’s Finance Director
• Issues regular status reports to leadership on the region’s financial performance and special projects
• Works with other finance teams, including Global FP&A, Global Supply Chain Finance, Brand Finance, Franchise Finance, and Commercial teams, including regional Sales and Marketing, to understand financial drivers, ensure financials are accurate, and provide critical reporting, analysis, and insight to aid in decision making
• Direct reports : 5 individuals Reporting to the Global Controller

What you’ll need :

• Master’s degree preferred (Masters, Accounting or MBA)
• Certified Public Accountant preferred
• Industry experience with multinational consumer products companies preferred
• Prior experience with a CPG company $500M - $xB in revenue
• 8+ years of experience with proven track record working in various accounting capacities (e.g., general accounting, management, and external reporting)
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP
• Expertise in the following areas : technical accounting, financial reporting, internal controls, and project management
