Under the supervision of the Director, Special Events and Donor Relations, the Development Coordinator will be responsible for supporting the Major Gifts and Special Events and Donor Relations team members to augment development opportunities, project and event management, donor relations and stewardship.
This individual will interact with all staff, in addition to donors, volunteers, local administrators and community leaders;
therefore, strong oral and written communication skills, attention to detail and follow-up are required.
Individual proactively contributes to the Eskenazi Health Foundation’s mission to contribute leadership, guidance and philanthropic resources to Eskenazi Health.

The position will receive direction from the Vice President, Major Gifts and the Director of Special Events and Donor Relations.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
- Assist with the implementation of donor cultivation (hosting visitors, coordinating tours, ribbon cuttings, etc.), stewardship projects, meetings, events, special projects and programs.
- Provide project management for the gift officer team. Examples include : Distributing materials for grateful patient giving program, corporate giving circle solicitation planning, employee orientation, Scheduling individual and group meetings as well as other administrative duties,
- Assist with written communications (newsletter, board / donor correspondence, gift acknowledgements, etc.).
- Maintain donor contact records in the Eskenazi Health Foundation database and in selected administrative files.
- Prioritize and review daily tasks and projects.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business, English, non-profit management, philanthropic studies, or health management related area required.
- Minimum of two years of experience in a non-profit or health setting.
