Current department initiatives Job duties include : - Contributing to the Master Plan on landscape architecture, site development, lighting, sustainable practices, pedestrian and vehicular circulation, site amenities, and other various design issues.
Providing guidance for all new buildings and / or major renovation projects on campus regarding Landscape Architecture.
Has significant input in the design review process from a planning and operations standpoint. Is integral in the construction of these projects, ensuring methods of installation are appropriate.
Inspects construction sites and is involved in final acceptance of the building and site work. - Management of landscape designs created by outside designers.
Development of in-house landscape architectural projects from initial concept to implementation. - Providing consultation / education to academic departments regarding sustainable practices in landscape architecture.

Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. Minimum Education / Experience : Bachelor's degree in a discipline related to the area of assignment and one year of related experience;
or equivalent combination of training and experience. Licensed to practice architecture or landscape architecture by the North Carolina Board of Architecture or the North Carolina Board of Landscape Architects.
All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions. Applicants that will receive the required licensure within 12 months of hire will also be considered.

Facilities Services has an annual budget in excess of $30 million and employs approximately 500 FTE . Major functions include facilities maintenance and housekeeping services.
Facilities Services primary purpose is to plan and perform corrective and preventive maintenance functions on all building structures and equipment and utility infrastructure.
Corrective maintenance returns equipment to optimal design performance after failure or upon degradation from age, adverse operation conditions, etc.
Preventive maintenance minimizes equipment failures and reduces corrective maintenance.
