Job Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med / Surg Tele position requiring at least two years of recent med-surg / telemetry experience and travel nursing experience.

Responsibilities Work in a Med / Surg Telemetry unit within a hospital setting

Typical patient ratio is 1 : 6

Night shift schedule with 3x12-hour shifts from 19 : 00 to 07 : 00

On-call and weekend shifts are required as needed

Floating may occur to like units and campuses within 20 miles

Cerner EMR is used; experience is preferred but not required

Must be willing to work two out of three major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's) if assignment spans all three; if only two holidays fall during assignment, must work at least one

RNs may be floated between like units and campuses, but floating between campuses is rare

Returning employees must have a one-year separation before eligibility to return as a traveler

All requested time off must be included at submission and will not be accepted after an offer is made

Compliance with NLC guidelines is mandatory

Requirements Active RN license in TN or compact multistate license required at time of consideration

At least two years of recent Med / Surg Telemetry experience required

At least one completed prior travel assignment required

BLS certification required

Associate degree in nursing (ADN) or higher required

No first-time travelers unless with three or more years of recent experience

Candidates must live at least 100 miles from the facility to be eligible

Cerner EMR experience preferred
