Secondary Academic Interventionist
Goodrich Area Schools Pilot Program
Summary : Goodrich Area Schools is seeking a grant-funded High School and Middle School Interventionist to support high school and middle school students in math and / or ELA development.
This position is part of a pilot program and is funded by 23g MI Kids Back on Track grant.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Current secondary math and / or ELA teaching certification
- Must meet highly qualified status for ESSA
- Knowledge surrounding Math and / or ELA State Standards is essential
- Must be highly qualified for the subject area and level as listed
- Experience in research-based instructional strategies, best practices
- Strong collaborative skills are critical
- A student-centered, whole child approach to teaching and learning is optimal
- Excellent ability to relate to students, teachers, and administrators
- A self-directed thinker and problem solver
- Willingness to develop own professional knowledge and skills
Essential Functions and Representative Duties
- Provide supplemental math / ELA intervention support for secondary students
- Monitor student progress and make instructional decisions based on a variety of data collected
- Collect overall data on student growth and complete a program evaluation at the end of the school year
- Other duties as assigned
Work Environment
Work is performed at Goodrich High School and Goodrich Middle School and may include other facilities of the district when necessary.
There is limited exposure to physical risk.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT : This is a full-time position and is a part of a pilot program and not part of the bargaining unit.
It is funded through the 23g grant for the 2024-2025 school calendar.
REPORTS TO : Building Principals
COMPENSATION : Dependent upon experience. Grant funded through 23g MI Kids Back on Track
