Veritas Community Services, INC collaborates within our community to provide positive and meaningful support for persons with intellectual and developmental disabilities. VCS is currently looking for Full Time Direct Support Professionals (DSPs).

Such individuals must be dedicated, qualified and wish to help our individuals reach their full potential and live as independently as possible throughout every aspect of their daily lives.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Utilize Positive Support Programs to support daily interactions.
  • Direct daily activities to teach and expand a persons experiences and the skill development necessary for independence.
  • Work as part of a team with coworkers and the people we serve to maintain a clean and safe environment.
  • Support our individuals and help them meet their goals.
  • Provide support in a variety of daily life experiences including skill building, recreational, leisure activities, and giving back to the community.
  • Medication administration and documentation.
  • Daily documentation on programs.
  • Provide transportation as needed.
  • Participate / contribute to meetings related to individual and company services / interests, etc. (Attend staff meetings as scheduled)
  • Other tasks as assigned by their manager or the agency.

    • JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be at least 19 years of age.
  • Completion of High School Diploma or GED.
  • Possess a valid driver's license and current car insurance.
  • Have a reliable vehicle to transport people during a shift.
  • Pass all background checks.
  • Must have full range of motion, physical strength, and the ability to achieve and maintain training and certifications.
  • Basic computer usage / knowledge.
