Who We Are

Excellence Community Schools (ECS) is an emerging Charter Management Organization (CMO) supporting schools in the Bronx, NY and Stamford, CT.

Our programs are based on a proven, nationally recognized model, which originated in our flagship school, the Bronx Charter School for Excellence, a National Blue-Ribbon School.

Our schools prepare young scholars to compete for admission to and succeed in top public, private, and parochial high schools by cultivating their intellectual, artistic, social, emotional, and ethical development.

We accomplish this by offering a challenging and rigorous academic curriculum, which at the earliest of grades has an eye towards college preparation.

Responsibilities

  • Onboard new employees, conduct preliminary orientation, background checks, ensure compliance and that all required documentation is provided.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records in the HRIS system i.e., certification status for both NY and CT locations.
  • Collaborate in cross-functional teams and contribute to HR projects and initiatives as assigned, for example employee file audits.
  • Ensure the network’s HR practices and actions are consistent with applicable laws, regulations, policies and procedures.
  • Prepare customized reports.
  • Handle HR-related inquiries and requests from employees, providing timely and accurate responses.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree with a concentration in HR Management other relevant fields preferred
  • At least two (2) years of professional experience required.
  • Experience supporting human resources, superb attention to detail, time management,
  • and intermediate Microsoft Excel skills are preferred.
  • Note : Candidates who do not meet the above requirements will not be considered.

Benefits

  • Salary is commensurate with experience and qualifications. Salary range ($50,000-$55,000)
