ReconCraft is seeking a Lead Composite Production Technician who will show ability to fabricate, manufacture, and assemble composite and mechanical components with precision to quality requirements and technical documents.

Responsibilities (include but are not limited to) :

  • Build composite components for air / marine vehicles using appropriate lay-up techniques.
  • Operate a broad variety equipment for cutting, kitting, and assembly of materials to include machines requiring understanding of computer software technology.
  • Use hand / power tools in a safe and efficient manner to shape and form simple and complex components.
  • Prepare composite components for curing process in autoclave and / or oven by applying proper vacuum bagging methods and procedures.
  • Ensure parts meet all quality standards and guidelines prior to presenting for inspection.
  • Perform composite layup using Laser projection.
  • Perform simple composite repairs when needed.
  • Maintain a neat and orderly work area, supports the company FOD (Foreign Object Damage) prevention program, and complies with all safety regulations.
  • Must be able to perform math computations, to include adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
  • May work any shift and overtime.
  • Comply with good housekeeping, quality, FOD, and safety procedures.
  • Support other sites as required.
  • R&D : Work with team on development of incoming new products and infusion techniques
  • Perform other tasks as required by manager.

Essential Job Requirements :

  • Clearance :
  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must be able to pass background check.
  • Education :
  • High School Diploma (GED) and one (1) or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Required Knowledge / Experience :
  • Proficient in the use of computers and equipment which utilizes computer software technology.
  • Experience working with composite materials.
  • Experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings, understanding drawing symbols read flag notes and general notes.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions. Read travelers and standard procedures.
  • Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office applications such as Word and Excel
  • Attention to detail and accuracy while working within a fast-paced production environment.
  • Physical Requirements :
  • Ability lift 50lbs. Standing for long period of time, climbing up and down ladders, bending, grasping, sitting, pulling, pushing, stooping, and stretching are generally required.
  • Ability to work long hours, when required, to meet deadlines and other deliverables.
