Experience : Minimum of 3+ years of ICU RN experience required; 2+ years of continuous work experience in one location, preferably a MICU.
License : Active Massachusetts RN License
Certifications : BLS, ACLS
Must-Have :
- Ability to read tele strips
- Telemetry competency
- Flexibility to float when needed (mostly Medical / Surgical Units)
Job Description :
- Work in a 20-bed Medical / Surgical ICU providing care for adult patients with a variety of critical conditions including :
- Sepsis
- GI bleed
- Respiratory failure
- Cardiac arrest
- Renal failure
- Cardiogenic shock
- Collaborate with attendings and residents present in the ICU 24 hours / day
- Maintain a patient ratio of 1 : 2 or 1 : 1 depending on acuity
- Utilize EPIC EMR for accurate charting
- Demonstrate adaptability for rotating shifts during day hours; night shift does not rotate
