• Job Summary :

Under routine supervision, this position is responsible for performing basic level maintenance, service, and repair of J.B. Hunt trailers and other equipment.

This position will pay between $21.59 and $33.61 per hour. Shift schedule is Wednesday-Saturday 7 : 30am-6 : 00pm.

• Key Responsibilities :
• Demonstrate basic knowledge of preventative maintenance and standard repairs related to trailer equipment, including air brake systems and FHWA inspections
• Accurately perform basic repairs up to company and manufacturers specifications, complete work orders and demonstrate understanding of company requirements for standard repair times (SRT) and warranty guidelines
• Understand and effectively follow all shop safety procedures
• Maintain professional communication with J.B. Hunt personnel and customers
• Accurately perform intermediate-level repairs to company and manufacturer's specifications, complete work orders, and demonstrate understanding of company requirements for standard repair times (SRT) and warranty guideline
• Minimum Qualifications :
• At least 18 years of age with 1 year of experience in semi-trailer maintenance and repair and / or training and / or military equivalent experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Able to supply your own basic tools, or purchase through our toolbox purchase program
• Willingness to work outdoors in the elements
• Able to work across multiple shifts, including nights and / or weekends if needed
• Preferred Qualifications :
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent with 1 year of experience in semi-trailer maintenance and repair, or equivalent combination of education and experience, or military equivalent
• DOT certified in FHWA inspections and air brakes
• Basic welding skills (MIG and stick )
• Ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas through various mediums
• Ability to manage multiple priorities
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Proficient computer skills and / or comfortable working with a computer, including Microsoft Office suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
• Ability to use time and resources efficiently and effectively
• Ability to fulfill physical requirements (lift / move appliance up to 50 pounds)
• Ability to wear appropriate work attire (protective gear / PPE)
• Compensation :

Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include skills, education, experience, geography, and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position may be eligible for annual bonus and incentives based on profitability or volumes in accordance with the terms of the Companys bonus and incentive plans, as applicable and in effect from time to time.
