Job Description :

This requirement is for a Sr. Full Stack Developer with 7 (or more) years of experience with designing, coding, testing and support of our customer's premise and cloud-based software, system, and / or information solutions.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with external vendors developing solutions that interface with vendor's solution and cross insurance plans and business segments (Individual, Group, Over 65).

Ideally, a candidate that has already been there and done that in prior experience. Someone that doesn't require a long lead time to ramp up before they are able to contribute to the team's milestones.

Required Experience :

• Proven experience with Java / JEE, patterns and frameworks.
• Experience with Eclipse or similar IDE developing scalable, fault-tolerant and reliable web applications.
• Proven experience working in the UI with CSS, HTML and JavaScript.
• Experience with Vue.js (preferred) or React or Angular frameworks.
• Experience working with Node.js runtime environment.
• Experience in Cloud technology - Openshift, AWS.
• Experience working in a self-managing Agile Team.
• Experience with Jira and Confluence for document repository.
• A documentation mindset - ensuring that the candidate has understanding of the full context view of the application / service and that is reflected in the documentation.
• Collaborate with other IT specialists to rapidly develop and deliver stunning solutions that meet changing business needs.
• Perform all necessary discovery and fact-finding to fully understand business problems and opportunities and execute all assignments with limited supervision.
• Provide input into solution buy vs. build recommendations to management when requested.
• Effectively communicate development and production issues to the project team, applicable vendors and / or the manager in a timely manner.
• Research and stay abreast of technology trends and IT best practices, with a focus on continuous learning.
• Knowledge of messaging engines like AWS pinpoint preferred.
• Experience with software development tools (i.e. Open Source, Eclipse, Mulesoft Anypoint Studio, JBOSS DevStudio).

Hiring Preferences :

• Experience with testing methodologies with the stated major development language(s) / technology.
• Experience with a major relational database management system preferred.
• Experience with AWS Postgres databases is a plus.
• Solid relationship management and collaboration skills to facilitate effective working relationships with varied stakeholders and team members, including vendors.
• Ability to participate in projects and ensure work is completed on time with high quality.
• Solid problem-solving skills, with a focus on understanding overall business issues and determining innovative solutions.
• Effective verbal or written communication skills.
• Must be self-directed, highly organized and adaptable with the ability to effectively multi-task as needed.
• Familiar with current and emerging technologies with a willingness to learn.
