Join our team as anOverhead Crane Field Service Technician Assistant where youll playa crucial role in inspecting troubleshooting and repairing themotors drives and electrical components of overhead crane and hoistsystems.
Your focus on exceeding customer expectations will driveyour success in this role. Responsibilities include assisting theOverhead Crane Field Service Technician with troubleshootingrepairing inspecting and upgrading industrial hoists and cranesonsite at customer locations.
Operating a company truck youllsupport service calls in the field and liaise with site maintenanceand engineering personnel to assess equipment conditions.
Effectivecommunication with the office throughout the day ensures timelyscheduling and completion of work. Youll also assist in conductingOSHArequired crane and hoist inspections utilizing companyissuediPads to generate inspection reports.
This role involves handsonwork in the inspection repair and load testing of various hoiststyles. Additionally participation in monthly safety meetingsensures a strong commitment to safety protocols.
Additional dutiesmay be assigned by supervisors or technicians providing a diverseand engaging workenvironment.
Requirements :
Experiencewith AC and DC electromechanical and solidstate motor controlsystems.
Knowledge of 3 phase power controlvoltage radio controls and VFDs
Industrialelectric motor and control experience is aplus.
Mechanical ability to work with gearreducers and drive systems is beneficial.
Strongcommunication skills for effective teamwork and independentwork.
Basic computer skills to navigate webbasedcrane inspection programs.
Ability totroubleshoot problems and find solutions.
Musthave a valid drivers license and acceptable drivingrecord.
Demonstrated customer serviceskills.
Ability to pass a preemployment drugtest.
Commitment to always working and drivingsafely.
Flexibility for overtime oncall shiftsoccasional travel and outoftown work.
Ability tofrequently lift up to 25 lbs and up to 50 lbs on a dailybasis.
