Controller for Private Equity Backed, High-Growth Firm!

StevenDouglas is exclusively retained with a high-growth, private equity backed commercial construction organization that is actively seeking a Corporate Controller for their growing team!

What You Will DoResponsibilities As the Controller, you will report to the Chief Financial Officer and oversee the accounting functions of the organization.

This gives you the opportunity to manage many of the day-to-day finance operations and supervise a team of 4-6 staff members.

This position will oversee and participate in the preparation, support and completion of the financial statements and other financial reports for the organization.

In this role, you will be dedicated to developing and refining existing systems and procedures to support effective program implementation and conduct flawless audits.

As part of a team that creates and implements policies and procedures, you will identify, resolve, and document accounting issues in addition to create procedures to streamline close and reporting processes.

• Review accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems ensuring compliance with appropriate GAAP standards and regulatory requirements
• Develop and maintain accounting and financial processes and policies as well as driving process improvements
• Coordinate external and internal audit activity
• Consistently analyze financial data and present financial reports in an accurate and timely manner; clearly communicate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
• Prepare for annual budgeting and strategic planning process as needed
• Serve as application administrator for Concur Travel and Expense and coordinate NetSuite configuration changes
• Drive the development of accounting processes, policies and systems related to product commercialization (e.g. revenue, gross-to-net, inventory management, standard cost development, Sunshine Act Reporting)
• Lead the commercial accounting team (revenue and inventory related teams)
• Develop and implement training programs to maximize and reach optimal individual and organizational goals
• Provide leadership to strengthen internal communications with staff at all levels throughout the organization; create and promote a positive and supportive work environment

What We Are Looking For Qualifications

• 10+ years related experience
• Public accounting experience preferred
• MS Excel power user
• NetSuite experience a plus

What We Are Looking For Education

• B.S. Accounting or similar required
• MBA or similar preferred

This role offers very strong compensation structure to include a base salary to 150k with strong annual incentives and equity position.
