Description

The Clinical Risk Manager provides support for and conducts risk management initiatives within PH&S Oregon. Acts as a resource and provides consultative support for clinical risk topics presented by leaders and caregivers involved in direct patient care across the healthcare continuum.

Coordinates with Patient Safety, Quality Management, Customer Care, and Medical Staff Services in quality improvement and grievance resolution efforts.

Required qualifications :

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
  • Upon hire : Oregon Registered Nurse License
  • 5 years of Clinical experience, in a progressively responsible position(s) requiring contact with various departments.
  • Demonstrated clinical expertise and experience related to a wide variety of patient populations and care delivery models.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in communicating effectively, both verbally and in writing, with physicians, nursing, public, and all levels of hospital management.

Preferred qualifications :

  • Master's Degree in Nursing, Public Health, Healthcare, or Business Administration.
  • Upon hire : Healthcare Risk Management (CPHRM) certification
  • Experience working with Patient Claims & Risk Management issues.
